College Wi-Fi Device Registration Guide

Register phones, consoles, TVs and laptops on an approved campus device portal.

College Wi-Fi device registration links a personal device to your student account before internet access is allowed. The portal usually asks for a device name and the MAC address used on that network.

Identify the registration method

Check the official IT page for a self-service portal, a device network or a support request. Use your own student account and confirm the number of devices permitted.

Find the address the network sees

Use the Wi-Fi address for a wireless connection. Phones and laptops may use a private or randomized address for each saved network, so compare the current network-specific value before submitting it.

Submit the device

  1. Sign in to the official device portal.
  2. Add a clear device label.
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi MAC address exactly.
  4. Wait for the stated approval period.
  5. Reconnect to the supported SSID.

If registration still fails

Check for a typing error, duplicate record, expired approval or changed private address. Send campus IT the device type, SSID, current Wi-Fi address, time and exact error.
