College Wi-Fi MAC Address Registration Guide

Find and register the right wireless MAC address without confusing it with Ethernet or Bluetooth.

MAC address registration works only when the value stored by the college matches the address presented by your device. A laptop, phone or console can show several addresses, but only one is used for the selected Wi-Fi connection.

Choose the wireless address

Do not submit Bluetooth or Ethernet when you plan to use Wi-Fi. On phones and modern laptops, check whether the campus network uses a private or randomized address.

Copy the value carefully

A MAC address normally appears as six hexadecimal pairs. Copy every character and keep the separators in the format accepted by the portal.

Register through the official portal

Sign in with your own account, label the device clearly and wait for the activation time stated by IT. Reconnect only after the record becomes active.

Check an address mismatch

If Wi-Fi shows connected but no internet, compare the current network-specific address with the registered record. Update it only through the approved process.
